The article I read was about the everyday life and tactics of the Mohawk Indians. This article was written by a Dutch-minister who had moved to Fort Orange with his family. He was directed by the West India Company to help and fill spiritual needs of these natives. To start, the women of this tribe were the hardest workers. Hard working, body aching, the women will never lie down, if they did, then they believed they would die soon. The men had nothing to be done, all that was required from them was to hunt, fish, and plan enemy attacks/strategies. For clothing in the winter, the tribe members would wear animal furs. In the summer, they would only wear patches of animal skins to hide their private areas. This lifestyle is completely different to our homelife today in the 21st century. We have beds and clothing of all materials for all four seasons; we don't sleep on rocks and stone or wear animal skins. We live a fortunate life and adapted a lifestyle completely different to the Mohawk Indians.

This is the article i choose, and it primarily is about the time when people where starting to explore, and in the process found profitable furs. The Dutch where exploring and going on expoditions and founded new land and areas, in America. For Dutchmen they had made a profit of this, for they had founded new furs and where able to take them sell them. They incountered with the Mohawk's which are a kind of indian that lived in the areas they had discovered. Johannes Megapolensis was a 39year-old Dutch minister, and he was the one who was there to fill there spirtatual needs. And he was the one who wrote about the indians and how there ways of life where.

There was a girl named Mary who seemed to be the party type. Mary continued to go man after man and marry each one. It was also heard that Mary would abuse the man she was currently with. She ended up being called into court where she confessed her crimes. Willing to give up her life and the man being "loath to die" , they both were soon executed.

In "The Prince of Adultery in Puritan Massachusetts" is an article about a teenage girl named Mary Latham, who was dealing with a man who didn't love her back, and she said that she would marry the next man that comes to her. She ends up marrying a man who is unfaithful in the relationship, and doesn't treat her with respect, so in return, she becomes unfaithful to him and starts "abusing him", for example, threatening him with a knife and saying that he's an old rogue and a cuckold.

I read the article "The Price of adultery in Puritan Massachusetts" and it somewhat reminded me of Abigail in "The Crucible". Although what Abigail did and what Mary did would even be considered "scandalous" today, things like this apparently happened during this time period slightly frequent for Arthur Miller to write about this in his play. This story explained how Mary was killed and I wonder if the same will happen to Abigail in "The Crucible".

She was desperate enough to marry the first man willing to marry her. She ended up marrying a much older man. Mary loved to party and have a good time though. Unfortunate for Mary and her husband, the punishment for adultery was death, so Mary and her husband were put to death for the crime they had committed.

"The Price of Adultery in Puritan Massachusetts, 1641" was an article about an 18 year old girl who was convicted of adultery and executed for her crimes. Latham was raised right, but married early to an older man and soon was very unhappy in her marriage. She then started partying and cheating on her husband with numerous men, including James Britton. Britton eventually confessed and they were both put on trial for adultery. The jury convicted them and both were executed for their actions.

Living Amoung the mohawks, I found, was an interesting article indeed. It talked a lot about how Hudson originally wanted to find other treasures, like those in the Indies, but, he found the Native Americans instead. Although, this wasn't a totally bad thing for Hudson and his men. He had disccovered a new source of trade. By trading furs with the indians, the white men could make great profits. The Mohawks used these furs for clothing, tools, and shelter. Further more, the article continues by explaining some of the finer details of native American society, such as how the men were dominent over the women and such. This article had a lot of good information, and was a good read.

The article I read was "The Price of Adultery in Puritan Massachusetts". This article described how an 18 year old girl (Mary Latham) was punished for her actions, actions which went against the beliefs of her religion. Mary liked to party and hang out with young men even though she was already wed. She married a man much older than her. Her husband wasn't honest and had no ability to do things. Mary also wasn't attracted to him and was known to abuse him from time to time. When she was accused of adultery she started to accuse other people of things. In the end she was executed.

I read, The Price Of Adultery in Puritan Massachusetts, 164. It is based on a young women name is Mary Latham. She was not the most behaved young lady. She loved to party, In the time period it was proper or common for a young women to marry a man much older than her. So she did, she was 18 at the time. She had friends mostly of the male gender that she partied with. all of her partying was meaningless and sexual. There was no love just lust. Meanwhile there was a law in Massachusetts that pertained to adultery. This law if broken led to consequences such as death. The man's name was James and his price to pay was to tell about the affair him and Marry had gotten in to. Of course Marry denied all claims James had made. There were 12 other people accused of the same crime but they had been let free due to lack of proof.

The article i read was entitled "Living Among the Mohawks". This article explains the culture of the mohawk indian tribe in the time of 1644. The Mohawk tribe lived a very different and contrasted way to our lifestyle today and in that time period. For example, they often did not marry and if they did it was for a short period of time then they were seperated. Also, the women in the tribe perform a variety of work from birth, some say far more than the men. The men had responsibility of hunting, fishing, and planning enemy attack tactics. The tribes clothing included skins from animals such as otters, beavers, racoons and other wild animals. They wore these cloths even in the winter to cover small parts on their body. This article describes how indian lifestyles differ greatly from ours.
