In case you are not sure what we have done for the last couple weeks, here it is:
1. The class has done preliminary research for THREE questions that the students each created based on their knowledge of Of Mice and Men. The questions can cover ANY topic that is related at all to the novel, the time period of the Great Depression, the culture of the 1930s, etc. Those research worksheets were due on Feb. 6. The link to open the worksheet is: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10508043/Research%20Paper/Preliminary%20Research%20-%203%20Topic%20Choices.doc 2. After doing the actual research for THREE possible questions, the students chose ONE of the topics to actually write about. Of course, if two of their questions were difficult to answer with articles from databases, then the third question would be the obvious choice. The students were to use the articles already found, plus one or two more, to create a WORKS CITED on Google Drive. Then each student needs to share that with me using my email address - [email protected] 3. After reading the articles from the Works Cited, the class also has to create an outline. This is due tonight at midnight. This outline is very similar to the one they had to create for Arthur Miller. If anyone needs help with the Works Cited or the outline, you can look at the top left hand of the page, hover over ELA11R, click on RESEARCH, and search for links to websites that will help you. Let me know if you have any questions, and have a GREAT WEEK OFF. -Mrs. Coller |
