This song is called "Taming of Carolyn". Can you determine what literary tools the writer uses? How does this relate to Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare?
(Hmm. A MODERN song that deals with the same issues as a 16th century play? What a CONCEPT!)

Medicine and Shakespeare?
This U.S. National Library of Medicine has created a well designed website that can best be described as a companion web-based interactive exhibition catalogue. Its historical and medical details as well as the excellent quality of its illustrations and archival images make it a rich companion for the play, adding an additional medical perspective to the play’s analysis. The website also provides information about Shakespeare’s discussion of the humors in The Taming of the Shrew and The Merchant of Venice. This website is a great resource for students and teachers and could work well as source material for a response essay or as a bridging text between Hamlet and another of Shakespeare’s play.
