Today we took our final literary terms quiz - for a while. If you feel like you did not do well on these quizzes, please learn to STUDY. See blogs below for hints. If you still can't get the grade you want, I suggest coming to me or another adult for study skill help. (Mr. Cashman and Mrs. Crawford ROCK at this.)
Tomorrow we will have open house. This means that parents and guardians will be able to come to school and go to a really shortened version of your classes. It also means you get to have a half-day. Periods 1,2,3,4 will be run, then you will be allowed to go home around 10:15 or so. PARENTS, your schedule goes like this: 1st period - 6:00p-6:15p 2nd period - 6:20p-6:30p 3rd period - 6:35p-6:45p 4th period - 6:50p-7:00p 5th period - 7:05p-7:15p 6th period - 7:20p-7:30p 7th period - 7:35p-7:45p 8th period - 7:50p-8:00p 9th period - 8:05p-8:15p When your child would normally have a lunch period or study hall, you may wander around the school or visit our cafeteria. But don't worry - there will be no bland school lunches on the menu Thursday evening. You get ice cream served by our administrative staff. (Stop by to meet our new vice-principal; I bet you'll like her.) During this day, you can also schedule parent/teacher conferences with me or any other teacher if you'd like. Of course, the BEST option is to stay in contact with us throughout the year and keep up-to-date with your child and his/her homework on a daily basis. If you would like to contact me, just click the CONTACT INFORMATION link above. You can send me an email there or you can call me at school any time. Have a great night. I hope to see the parents and periods 1-4 tomorrow!
