Grant's class puts on their Christmas Program and almost everyone in the quarter is present. At the end Grant realizes that nothing has changed. The same carols are sung, there were the same mistakes in grammar, the same people came and sat in the same places, and the same prayers were said as always. Grant wants to know where the change is that Vivian spoke of. He doesn't realize that change has come to the quarter. More people showed up to see the program because it was dedicated to Jefferson, the kids sang better than they ever have, and pooled their money together and bought a gift for Jefferson.
