Yesterday in class we began reading "Everyday Use", a story about a family disagreement revolving around their heritage and some ideas about how to best honor that heritage. As you read as a class, I could see that you were interacting with the text, making the story come to life for you and increasing your reading comprehension skills. I saw this when:
Today we will continue to read the story, but will probably not complete it in class. HOMEWORK: Do the vocabulary worksheet at the end of the packet.
