Today we chose characters and began to read the text. So far, we know that a beggar named Christopher Sly broke a barmaid's glass, but refused to pay for it. Still without paying for lodging, he passes out at the inn. Soon, a wealthy lord enters the inn, sees the beggar, and chooses to play a trick on him; he tells his servants to move Sly to a very fancy bed and, when the drunk wakes, to make him think that he is a wealthy lord who only believes he is a beggar because he is ill.
Twisted. So when does the shrew come in to play? We shall see.... -Mrs. Coller
