Today, we worked on the Act III, Scene i questions and discussed the characters of "The Taming of the Shrew." Make sure you have their original character and who they are disguised as.

We read more of "The Taming of the Shrew" For homework, read Act III, Scenes i & ii. Also, characterize Petruchio and Katherine and find proof from the reading. Use quotes and examples!
Have a great extended weekend!! Mr. Francisco We acted out more "The Taming of the Shrew." Yayyyy
Homework for tonight: Read the rest of Act 1 and the questions that go along with it. You all received your Most Powerful Word papers back. You have until Wednesday, October 12th to revise your papers. Stay after school if you have questions about comments and do not just add or subtract words or sentences. Take the essay apart and reassemble it! Revision is about knocking down a brick wall and using the old bricks and new bricks to rebuild an even sturdier wall! (What an analogy!)
Mr. Francisco We read more of Act 1 aloud today, almost like a staged production! Thank you to the brave souls who participated! You all did a great job with discussing the text and working through areas that were confusing.
Mr. Francisco Today we worked on the questions in your packet concerning the Induction. Then, we began reading Act 1. Remember, this play is a story within a story. Christopher Sly is watching the play we're reading, but we won't hear about him again (What's with that, Shakespeare?). We all love Katherine, too (insert sarcasm). Keep her in contrast with her sister, Bianca, throughout the play.
